Due to the hazardous materials classification of fireworks by the United States Department of Transportation, fireworks cannot be shipped via the US Postal Service or ground carriers such as UPS Ground or FedEx Ground. We are required to use specialized freight carriers capable of safety handling and transporting hazardous, explosive materials such as fireworks.

Shipping Costs and Options

Shipping fireworks the safe and legal way is very expensive, no matter which specialized freight carrier you choose. We select the lowest cost carrier to ship your fireworks, while adhering to all state and federal regulations. We do this to save you money whenever possible, unless you specify you’d like to use a different carrier; we do give you the option to choose a more expensive one. You can select the Rush Shipping option at checkout for an additional fee to escalate your order to the fastest fireworks shipping available to your location.

Free Shipping: Orders over $1,500 qualify for free shipping, covering all shipping costs. This means you get 2-4 times the amount of fireworks for the same price you’d pay locally!

Our Trusted Carriers

We tend to work closely with Old Dominion Freight Line, FedEx Freight, TForce Freight, XPO Freight, Estes Express Lines, and a few more smaller regional carriers to get you your fireworks in a safe and timely fashion, for the lowest hazardous freight shipping prices. The carrier selected will be indicated to you via email once your fireworks have shipped, along with contact information for that carrier. In most cases you will need to schedule an appointment with the carrier for delivery. Most carriers will call you to do this without you needing to reach out to them first. But in case they do not, or you would like to contact them, we will provide you with contact information for them in the email when your order is shipped.


Why Shipping Costs Are High

Whether you're shipping one case or an entire pallet, shipping prices for fireworks will be similar — in the hundreds of dollars every time. It is an unfortunate side effect of current laws and regulations, inflation, the rising cost of fuel and labor, and other lesser factors.
If you only need a case or two of fireworks, the cost of shipping is not going to be worthwhile, and unfortunately there is nothing we can do about this. As much as we’d love your business, in that case we recommend purchasing from one of many local fireworks stores likely near you.
But if you need an entire fireworks show worth of fireworks, you’re at the right place to get more bang for your buck. We offer free shipping once you exceed $1,500+ worth of product, we cover all shipping costs at that point; you won’t pay anything for shipping. At that point, you're receiving 2-4 times the amount of fireworks, for the same price you'd be spending locally.

Our Business and Locations

The address listed on our website is an office only. We store no physical product inventory there. Our office is located in Michigan, making us a Michigan-based business. Thus if you are also located in Michigan, you are required to pay Michigan sales tax. Our warehouses are located in North Dakota, Missouri, Iowa, Montana, and Ohio.


Our warehouses are not currently equipped for customer visitation or product pickups, as we have no sales floor or showroom at these locations. They are just warehouses where our product is stored in brown boxes directly from the factories in China. Our business is conducted entirely online via our website, www.fireworks.us.


Once your order is placed, our employees at these warehouses will gather your order and one of the aforementioned hazmat freight carriers (Old Dominion Freight Line, et al.) will pick up your order on a large semi truck, and ship it across the country directly to your home or business, or their closest freight terminal near your location. In most cases you will not even need to leave your house. Nor will you need to rent a U-Haul or similar vehicle to carry a large amount of fireworks.
